Five Ways Cherokee Valley’s Platinum Family Membership Shines this Summer

Since acquiring the property in 2017, owners Matt and Renee Jennings have always let it be known that Cherokee Valley Course and Club is a family-run, and family-focused, business.

No membership epitomizes that ethos quite like the Platinum Family Membership, by far and away our most popular offering. And no season brings that to light quite like the summer.

Here are five ways the entire family can utilize our most robust and inclusive membership program, which requires no initiation fee or food and beverage minimums and is just $210, monthly, with a one-year commitment.

1. The Swimming Pool

The summer brings the heat and the heat brings on swimming. Our resort-style swimming pool actually opens in early to mid-May, making it one of the first pools available in the Greenville area each year.

The kids don’t care that the water temps are in the high 60s, then; with our warm days and evenings the pool heats up in no time. And mom, dad, couples and friends appreciate being to pull up a deck chair and relax with a good book or podcast.

New for 2021 is pool-side food and beverage service via Cart Dash. That’s right, simply call your order in to Core 450 (864) 977-8444 and have one of Executive Chef Todd Warden’s hearty sandwiches, salads, pizza or wings delivered right to the pool.

2. The Golf Course

Thousands of families across the U.S. took up golf together during the pandemic. Based on the golf participation numbers so far in 2021, they’re still enjoying this safe and healthy outdoor pursuit.

The Platinum Family Membership provides every golfer in the family with unlimited green fees seven days a week (carts and Finn Cycles are available for a fee), as well as unlimited range balls at our expansive practice range and short game facility.

As members, the family can walk the course anytime, or our Cart Plan is available for $131.25, monthly, for unlimited use of our new E-Z-GO RXV carts with GPS and Bluetooth speakers.

And with multiple sets of tees – including blended back and forward tees and PGA-certified junior tee markers in the fairways – the entire family can enjoy a round together.

3. Core 450

Newly opened in late May, Core 450 is our innovative, full-service restaurant and gathering place overlooking the ninth and 18th greens. We think it’s unlike any other golf course dining experience in the Upstate, and hope you’ll agree.

Enjoy dinner with views of the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains afforded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Or have lunch and sip a drink on the expansive outdoor patio while taking in the mountain air and Carolina sunshine.

We could go on and on, but hey, just click over to the Core 450 website for menus, hours and more. Members receive a 50% discount when joining the Chef’s Club, which bestows a basket of benefits including advance reservations and invitations to special events.

4. The Amenities

Health and wellness is a major emphasis at Cherokee Valley. Healthy members are happy members, and we offer a couple of fitness options for the entire family.

There’s the Fitness Center at the Training Center (located at the practice range) which houses elliptical and rowing machines, a treadmill, kettle bells, free weights and bands.

The Platinum Family Memberships also includes a North Greenville University Co-Op, which grants access to the Younts Wellness Center on campus (currently undergoing renovations), tennis courts and rubberized walking trail.

Also part of the NGA Co-Op, members get complimentary access to sporting and cultural events, and $5 off football tickets and performances at the Billingsley Theater.

While not exclusive to our members, our onsite Cottages are perfect for housing and hosting out-of-town guests.

5. And More

We’re always dreaming up new perks and offerings for our members. We recently partnered with Callaway and TaylorMade to provide exclusive, personalized club fittings at the practice range.

We’ve forged partnerships with local businesses to provide members with discounts. For example, we recently teamed with the Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville for a “Member Rate” that can be used by both members and their guests.

Of course, North Greenville University is our “original” partner and neighbor, and we are proud to be the home of the men’s and women’s Crusader golf teams.
