The Shop December 2023

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

The temperatures are changing and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Be on the lookout for new merchandise in The Shop and join us December 11th from 5 pm - 8 pm for the annual Shop Christmas Sale.



Discounts will range from 20-40% off merchandise excluding balls and clubs!

Rules of Golf:

This month we will review Rule 8: Playing the course as you find it.


Purpose of Rule:

Rule 8 covers a central principle of the game: “play the course as you find it.” When your ball comes to rest, you normally have to accept the conditions affecting the stroke and not improve them before playing the ball. However, you may take certain reasonable actions even if they improve those conditions, and there are limited circumstances where conditions may be restored without penalty after they have been improved or worsened.

Tip of the Month

RORY MCILROY'S TIPS FOR THREE DIFFERENT SHOTS OFF THE TEE

Rory McIlroy is one of the best drivers of the golf ball the game has ever seen. In this tip from the tee, Rory explains how he sets up and changes his swing to hit three different shapes off the tee with Stealth 2 Driver. Rory is known for his towering high draw, and he shows you how he sets up to hit that signature shot. Then he goes on to show how he sets up with a neutral stance to produce a straight shot, as well as a fade that moves left to right.

Pool season is in full swing starting May 1st! We are excited to see new and returning members enjoy the pool this season. We all at Cherokee Valley want to thank everyone for their patience with the upcoming renovations at the Venue. We are in the final stages of completing the kitchen and outside gathering area. We’re hopeful to have the kitchen fully up and running by Memorial Day, we will keep you updated on the progress and date of completion. Pool Hours: 8:00am - 8:00pm Tax Not Included (Gold, Young Pro) Day Pass: $15.00 Guest Fees: $5.00 We are continuing the same check in process as last year. Wrist bands will be required when attending the pool for monitoring purposes. Check in will be in The Shop if a pool attendant isn’t present. We want to ensure the pool is a safe, clean, and fun environment for our members! PLEASE NO OUTSIDE FOOD AND ALCOHOL ALLOWED! Note: With exceptions to snacks (Ex. Chips, Crackers, etc.) While the kitchen is being constructed at the Venue, Cart Dash privileges extends to those attending the pool.
