Cherokee Valley Father’s Day Gift Guide

Rounding into late spring and heading toward Father’s Day, dads are in a happy place. More than 95 percent of golf courses throughout the U.S. are open according to the National Golf Foundation, as are 84% of off-course retail stores.

And if things go according to plan with the PGA TOUR, dad can even watch the RBC Heritage at Sea Pines Resort and famed Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head throughout Father’s Day weekend.

Live sports! In our very own state!

All of this is to say, fear not sons, daughters, spouses and significant others – golf gifts are back on the menu for dad in 2020.

To celebrate, we’d humbly suggest giving dad the gift of golf, itself. Or more specifically, the gift of playing golf here at Cherokee Valley Course and Club.

Here are a few gift ideas in that vein, which you order either online or by calling us in the golf shop at (864) 689-3585.

Game Packs – New for 2020

Every dad is different. Some prefer to play four or five times a week, while others enjoy playing four or five times a month. Our variety of Game Packs offer a number of different options for dads of all participatory persuasions.

Game Pack 1 sets up well for “Diehard Dad,” (the four or five times a week guy) with 10 or 20-round options for nine or 18 holes with cart. Offering a 25% savings, it breaks down as follows:

  • Ten (10) 18-hole rounds for $416.50 + 1 free round
  • Twenty (20) 18-hole rounds for $784 + 2 free rounds
  • Ten (10) nine-hole rounds for $285
  • Twenty (20) nine- hole rounds for $500

This may feel a bit like a season pass, but to the best of our knowledge, the savings are deeper. And the free round (or two) is a fun for dad to gift to a buddy, or to bring along a spouse, significant other or family member.

Game Pack 2 is ideal for who we’ll dub “Practice Range Pops.” You know the dad – he puts in the time at the rock pile and loves practicing as much as he loves playing. What’s more, and bias aside, our practice range is widely regarded as one of the best in the region.

So there’s that, plus with the North Greenville University men’s and women’s teams practicing there, you never know when you’re going to pick-up a pointer. Here’s the deal for Game Pack 2:

  • Ten (10) Range Bags for $51
  • Twenty (2) Range Bags for $90

If Amazon has done nothing else (and honestly, it’s done everything), it’s gotten us all used to the idea of a gift certificate being more than “just acceptable” for a holiday or special occasion. Game Pack 3 is just that, a spectrum of gift certificates: $25, $50, $75, $100 and $200.

For the “Full-On Father” in your life there’s Game Pack 4. Game Pack 4 is giving he gift of a membership at Cherokee Valley.

If you’ve played here you know Cherokee Valley is not a private club. Rather, it’s a member-focused facility open to outside play; that is to say it is inclusive, not exclusive.

There’s no initiation fee, food and beverage minimums or assessments required. All membership plans are designed for today’s modern lifestyle, each requiring only a one-year agreement.

One of the best club values in the state, Platinum Membership ($200 month family, $165 single) includes full access to golf, the resort pool, golf training facility and spacious practice range. It also features use of neighboring North Greenville University’s (NGU co-op) fitness center and reduced rates for select sporting and special events.

Gold Membership ($175 / $145) offers seven-day-a-week access to golf, while Silver Membership ($125 / $100) entitles families or singles unlimited golf on Saturdays and Sundays. Ideal for busy professionals, the Young Executive Membership ($135) offers full weekday and weekend access.
